Ms. Manda J. Smarr is currently the Advancement Director of St. Jerome Regional School. She has over 9 years experience in business management and marketing. Manda has applied her background in design and branding to her position at SJRS to create the new logo, mission statement, and website for the school. Over the years, she has used her creativity to successfully run and manage Manda Jean Photography. Art has always been a passion of hers and she has created a business out of doing what she loves. Manda is a published photographer and has been featured in over eleven publications. She continues to work and travel as a photographer today.
Through her career, her work has been displayed in several gallery showcases in Pittsburgh. In 2010 she hosted her own solo gallery show, In the Fine Print, in Cranberry Township, PA.
Alongside of running her own business, Manda worked as Marketing Director and Commercial Account Liaison for Seitz Brothers, located in Tamaqua PA from 2012-2015. She also worked as a teacher’s assistant for mathematics and photography through the EDMC Education Foundation while living in Pittsburgh.
Manda currently attends the University of William & Mary as a graduate student in the MBA program. She is expected graduate with her master's degree in business administration in May of 2019. Manda also received her Bachelors of Science degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2010. During her studies there, she was a member of the National Technical Honor Society and on the Dean’s List.
Manda is an avid member of her community and sits on the Board of Directors for the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce. In the past she has coached for the AVC Girl's Volleyball league and has been involved in many local volunteer projects. She believes in giving back to her community and says, “If you remember where you came from, you won’t have any trouble getting where you’re going.”
